When you start at Maria, you’re creating your own future based on the more than 50-year tradition of excellence that has earned respect, throughout the Capital Region and beyond. You are beginning or continuing an education with distinguished faculty and a community of nearly 1,000 other students, hailing from every walk of life: straight out of high school, in the midst of a career change, or returning after raising a family.
You are sure to find the curriculum, grounded in the humanities, as the best foundation for academic excellence, transfer into higher education, and an appreciation for lifelong learning. And, you are sharing ideas with those with whom you have a common background and with those from which your experience differs greatly. You’re starting on a path. A nonprofit, independent, coeducational college that offers an RN-BS Degree in Nursing, as well as Associate Degrees and Certificate Programs, with classes during the day, evening, weekend and online, Maria was founded and is still sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy.
